"When I joined GCAS, only the Philosophy degree was accredited. But over time, we saw accreditation extend to more programs, like the PhD in Humanities, followed by the Master’s programs, including the Psychoanalysis program. As accreditation was granted, there was a clear increase in applicants. Many prospective students had been waiting for this, already familiar with GCAS and eager to join once accreditation came through. The result was a significant rise in enrollment—over 200% growth in just a year. Accreditation played a crucial role in this, alongside strategic marketing efforts. It was an investment that paid off, as it not only attracted more students but also enhanced the overall quality of the programs."

The Global Centre for Advanced Studies (GCAS) was founded in 2013 by over 100 leading intellectuals, writers, philosophers, artists, and social scientists with a two-fold mission:
What began as a dream has developed into a global network on five continents with seven centres throughout the world, including New York, Santa Barbara, Dublin, Ireland, Kampala, Uganda, Jakarta, Sydney, Santiago, Chile. GCAS has reached over 2.5 million people and held over 50 seminars, international conferences, and workshops.
GCAS needed to establish global recognition and credibility for its unique hybrid educational model, which blends in-person experiences with virtual learning. Despite its robust program and alumni success in securing employment with unaccredited degrees, GCAS sought to expand and set itself apart from other fringe institutions. This required an efficient accreditation solution to validate its degree programs in humanities, psychoanalysis, and philosophy.
Rather than navigating the complex and costly accreditation process alone, GCAS sponsored the creation of a Woolf college. Their college gave them access to an internationally recognized accreditation framework while maintaining their academic independence. With Woolf’s Accreditation Management System (AMS), GCAS seamlessly integrated compliance into its infrastructure, ensuring its programs met global education standards.
GCAS didn’t just gain accreditation, it redefined what a modern institution could be. By blending virtual learning with optionalin-person experiences, GCAS created a truly global academic community. And with its unique ownership program, studentscan transition from learners to stakeholders, ensuring long-term engagement and institutional growth.
