\Sponsor rights & responsibilities/

Rights & Responsibilities of a Sponsor

As a Sponsor, you are the guarantor of the college's financial operations. In return, you have the right to propose the college's name, logo, dean, faculty, and other staff members, as well as to recruit and propose students to the college. The college must meet all academic requirements set by the HEI's central administration, but its academic freedom permits it to be dedicated to the purposes of the Sponsor.

\Common misconceptions/

Misconceptions vs. Reality

This is the part most sponsors find confusing. Here's a clear breakdown:

✗ Your legal entity is NOT

  • Becoming a Higher Education Institution yourself
  • Becoming a college of an existing HEI
  • Receiving your own accreditation
  • In a direct contractual relationship with the HEI
  • Granting degrees in your own name

✓ You ARE

  • In a contractual relationship with Woolf Labs
  • Being nominated by Woolf Labs to an HEI
  • Sponsoring a new college within that HEI
  • Purchasing seat licenses from Woolf Labs
\How it works/

The Process

1

Sign the MSA

Sponsor enters into a Master Sponsorship Agreement with Woolf Labs.

2

Nomination

Woolf Labs nominates the Sponsor to one or more of its accredited HEI partners.

3

College Created

The HEI establishes a new college, sponsored by the Sponsor, as an integral part of the institution.

4

Seats & Enrollment

The Sponsor purchases seat licenses. Students enroll through the college and earn accredited degrees.

\The seats model/

How You Pay

Under the Nomination & Seats model, the Sponsor purchases a set number of seat licenses. Each seat represents one student's enrolllment in an accredited program at the college. Pricing is structured around these seats — you pay for the capacity you need.

🪑

Seat Licenses

Each seat = one student enrollled in an accredited program at your college.

📈

Scalable

Purchase more seats as your program grows. Pricing tiers may apply.

🎓

Accredited Outcomes

Students receive degrees from the HEI — a fully accredited institution.

What to Remember

Your contract is with Woolf Labs.

The MSA is between you and Woolf Labs. Woolf Labs handles the relationship with the HEI and the nomination process on your behalf.

You sponsor a college — you don't become one.

The college is a new unit created inside the HEI. It is part of the HEI's academic structure. Your role is as the sponsor, not the institution itself.

The HEI grants the degrees.

All academic awards come from the accredited HEI. The college is the vehicle through which your students access those awards.
